Water Saving Philosophy and the relationship between Economy and Ecology, Ethics and Aesthetics.

Nowadays sustainability is the subject of reflection and development that most stimulates economical and ethical investments.

Incredibly, Americans – who were decades behind compared with Europe – have pulled out all the stops. This happened first of all with Al Gore, with the great research centers, and then even with the big multinational companies that elected this issue as the strategic theme on which they developed their activity.

Teorema Rubinetterie S.p.A., through a specific and “evolved” strategy (Water Saving Philosophy) works to anticipate the new business models.

Teorema’s strategy is based on an innovative concept: the products, with their technical features, become decisive for the achievement of the defined aims.
To make the users aware about the necessity of a rational use of an extremely precious good, such as water, is the ambitious project in which the Italian company is continuously investing, making reference to the relation between Economy and Ecology, Ethics and Aesthetics, to the importance of creating and producing according to effective rules that protect the environment.

Ecology (from Greek Oikos which means “home” or “environment”) is the word coined by the German biologist Ernst Haeckel in 1866. in 2008 Ecology means also Economy, Ethics and Aesthetics.
In particular, Economy and Ecology – declared recently Emanuela Palazzani – “have the same root. This gives us one more reason to get down, with passion, in order to realize sustainable products, which are also efficient, functional and tasteful. We aim at meeting the needs of that market segment that is investing in the bathroom, considering a right price for luxury products which stand out from the mass-products and keep on being protagonists of everyday life for long years”.

The direction followed by Teorema started in 2006 with the launch of Jetto (concept Teorema/design nadia mongilardi) and reached its climax with the two new projects Tree and Duck (concept Teorema/design silvia suardi and sezgin aksu). The intention of Teorema was that of demonstrating the percentage water saving deriving from the usage of its new taps in comparison with the common ones. The tests were run in a laboratory approved by the SINAL (National System for the Laboratories Approval) which verifies the technical competence of the Laboratory concerning the approved tests and its quality-system. The results could confirm that the average water saving with Jetto is of 25%, 50% for Duck and 55% for Tree.
